Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Michigan. This position involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of high-quality, compassionate patient care within the emergency department. The role utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while effectively communicating pertinent information to the healthcare team and participating in finding solutions for patient care variances.
Job Details
- Position Description: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: BSN from an accredited nursing school, current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing, certification in BLS and ACLS, minimum 1 year of clinical experience in emergency nursing or related field.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Additional Information: The successful candidate will demonstrate clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the department. Effective communication with patients, families, and hospital personnel is essential.
