- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Weekly Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
- Emergency Department: 92-bed department with strong Level I trauma exposure and approximately a 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio
- Electronic Medical Record: EPIC
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department registered nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact licensure accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- TNCC certification
- Telemetry monitoring and intravenous drip experience
- Experience caring for patients in a high-acuity or Level I trauma setting
- Emergency Severity Index (ESI) triage training preferred
- CPI Blue certification; training may be completed on site
- Ability to meet the applicable 80-mile radius eligibility requirement
- One professional reference from your work history
Travel ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Perform rapid assessments, emergency nursing triage, reassessments, and ongoing monitoring for Emergency Department patients
- Provide safe, evidence-based care for acute stroke, seizure, congestive heart failure, sepsis, acute myocardial infarction, trauma, and diabetes-related conditions
- Care for patients with neuro-medicine and neurosurgical needs, including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage
- Manage patients experiencing trauma related to motor vehicle collisions, falls, penetrating injuries, and other emergencies
- Administer medications and manage intravenous drips while monitoring telemetry and patient responses
- Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly initiate appropriate interventions and escalation of care
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to support efficient patient flow and positive patient outcomes
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, reassessments, and disposition plans in EPIC
