Travel Emergency Department RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130

Travel Nurse Requirements

• Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license at the time of submission
• At least 3 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Recent experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center; academic medical center experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• Recent experience with the EPIC electronic medical record
• Willingness to float to other appropriate units as needed
• Ability to meet travel assignment requirements, including a 50-mile radius rule for local candidates
• Successful completion of specialty-specific and EKG competency examinations, with a minimum score of 80% on each exam and complete identification of lethal rhythms

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, timely, and evidence-based nursing care to adult emergency patients with varying levels of acuity
• Perform focused nursing assessments, prioritize care, and respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document care accurately in EPIC
• Recognize and respond to cardiac rhythm changes and other emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate diagnostics, interventions, transfers, and patient disposition
• Maintain readiness for high-acuity and trauma-related presentations in a fast-paced emergency department
• Float to appropriate units when assigned and contribute to a flexible, team-oriented patient care environment
• Participate in required orientation, competency validation, and ongoing quality and patient safety initiatives
