Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in a hospital setting. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. The position requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as providing health teaching, health counseling, and executing therapy and treatment plans. This is a night shift position with a schedule of 12-hour shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school of nursing; current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing; certification appropriate for the unit or service
  • Responsibilities include evaluating health status through ongoing data collection, providing health education and counseling, executing delegated medical functions, referring patients as needed, reviewing therapy and treatment plans, documenting according to guidelines, and utilizing resources effectively
  • May require floating to other departments within scope of competency based on business needs
  • May be required to be placed on-call during scheduled shift
