Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to assist with ongoing needs in an emergency department setting, specifically focusing on ED Boarding. This role offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for a 3x12 Day/Night rotation or Straight Night shifts.

Shift Details

3x12 Day/Night rotation (4 weeks of each) or Straight Nights available
Every other holiday and every other weekend requirement
Orientation available during the weeks of September 14 and September 28

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing emergency conditions.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
Assist with the discharge process and educate patients and families about ongoing care needs.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Previous experience in a medical/surgical or emergency department setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required based on specific role requirements.
