Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 - $2,110
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Setting: High-volume, non-trauma Emergency Room with a 10-bed ED Hold/Obs unit
• Charting System: EPIC preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Strong community hospital ER experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to care for patients from neonates through geriatrics
• Comfortable working with patient ratios of 1:4, with assignments up to 1:5 based on acuity
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must be comfortable floating within the ER specialty, including the Hold/Obs unit
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with a wide range of acute and urgent conditions
• Administer emergency medications and support rapid interventions as needed
• Monitor IV therapy, blood product administration, and other common ED treatments within scope
• Assist with procedures such as splinting, chest tube management, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Interpret dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead ECGs, and support stroke, STEMI, and other urgent care pathways
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Float as needed within the ER specialty, including the Hold/Obs unit
