Job Summary
Emergency Room RN Wausau, WI. This position involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care in a Level II trauma center environment. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional to deliver patient-centered services in a fast-paced setting, adhering to hospital standards and protocols.
Job Details
- Position Description: Clinical Interview Services ER RN. Contract duration: 13 weeks, start date: ASAP.
- Shift Details: Evenings with 12-hour PM shifts (0900-2100, 1000-2200, 1100-2300) or Night shifts (1700-0500). Schedule includes every other weekend and holiday.
- Required Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certification (ARC or AHA). Minimum of 2 years of experience, prior trauma Level II experience, and charting experience in EPIC required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in nursing.
- Additional Information: The unit has 18 beds and handles trauma, stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases. Environment is high-paced with a patient ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse. In-house lab, Pyxis medication dispenser, and X-ray staff on site. RN responsibilities include drawing labs, administering neb treatments, and managing patient care. Flexibility and resilience are essential qualities. During flu season, declination of vaccination requires mask-wearing at all times.
