Emergency Room Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Michigan
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current clinical credentials and certifications required for Emergency Department practice
• Ability to work scheduled night shifts, alternating weekends, and alternating holidays
• Strong patient assessment, clinical prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to provide safe, efficient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency healthcare setting

Travel Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Perform focused and comprehensive patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and prioritize care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and established Emergency Department protocols
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and promptly communicate significant findings to the multidisciplinary care team
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, reassessments, and patient outcomes in the electronic health record
• Provide clear patient and family education while supporting a positive emergency care experience
• Maintain readiness to respond effectively in a dynamic, high-acuity Emergency Department environment
