Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care to join our team on the night shift. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment, catering to a diverse patient population with varying diagnoses.

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12 Night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Schedule Options: 36/48 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Required as scheduled

Patient Population

The Emergency Room handles a wide range of patient demographics, from infants to geriatric patients. The environment is designed to manage complex and time-sensitive cases effectively.

Responsibilities

• Administer care to patients with various emergency conditions.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to established protocols and best practices to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
• Perform necessary interventions in urgent situations, ensuring effective patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience required; however, candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered.
• First-time travelers with strong emergency room skills and experience are encouraged to apply.
• Current RN license for the state of practice.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI.

Work Environment

The Emergency Department consists of 47 beds with an average daily census of 130 patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, promoting a manageable workload while ensuring quality care.

Additional Notes

• Floating may be required within the specialty.
• No pre-scheduled on-call requirements.
