Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with established standards. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as performing health teaching, therapy, and treatment to support patient well-being. The nurse may also be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
Job Details
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: ASN (Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing), current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, BLS (American Heart Association), and 2 years of emergency department nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree of Nursing, certification as appropriate for the unit or service such as TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and prior emergency department nursing experience.
- Responsibilities:
- Perform independent and delegated medical functions in accordance with state nurse practice acts.
- Continually assess and evaluate patient health status while delivering supportive and restorative therapy.
- Document all care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Use resources efficiently and promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- May be required to float to other departments based on business needs and to be on-call during scheduled shifts.
