Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse Gainesville, FL. This position involves working in a high-volume emergency department with a focus on trauma care. The role requires flexibility to float between two standalone emergency departments within a 50-mile radius, providing critical care in a fast-paced environment. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, with night shifts scheduled from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.
Job Details
- Shift Details: 12-hour night shifts, 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM, 36 hours per week, variable days, including holidays and weekends required.
- Required Qualifications: 2-3 years as RN with prior travel experience. Valid license (including EPIC Florida license or compact license). BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and ACLS certifications required. TNCC preferred. Emergency Department experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma nursing certifications such as TNCC are preferred.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Position requires flexibility to float between two emergency departments. All new RN starts will be required to pass a basic test in their specialty and an EKG test, including mapping and interpreting lethal rhythms. Nurses must be able to identify lethal rhythms; improper identification will result in extended remedial training beyond Day Two of orientation. Safety protocol mandates influenza vaccination with proof of vaccination before employment, with the only valid exemption being a doctor's note indicating a vaccine reaction. Unplanned time off (UTO) will result in contract cancellations if shifts are not made up.
