Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) This role involves providing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with their scope of practice as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, promotes health education and counseling, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to support patient well-being. The position requires flexibility to float to other departments within scope and may include being on-call during scheduled shifts.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shift hours, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required, Bachelor's degree preferred); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; Relevant certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as appropriate for the unit.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as an RN in emergency care is preferred.
  • Additional Information: The RN will perform health data assessments, health teaching, counseling, therapy and treatment planning, medical function execution, patient referrals, clinical documentation, and resource utilization. May be required to float to other departments, and on-call duty may be assigned during shifts.
