Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Shift Information

Evening Shift: 2 PM - 2 AM

Job Description

A qualified Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) is needed for a full-time position. The role requires a minimum of three years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department
  • Assess patient needs and develop nursing care plans
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Participate in emergency response protocols and procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience is required
  • Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years is mandatory
  • Oregon RN State License is required
  • General Certifications:
    • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) required
    • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required or obtain within 6 months of hire
    • AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC card required or obtain within 1 year of hire
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required or obtain within 1 year of hire
  • Organizational approved workplace violence training required, to be completed by the last day of the month after a 90-day grace period
  • CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or equivalent certification is preferred
