- Position Description:
This Emergency Room (ER) nursing position involves delivering urgent care to patients of all ages, including those with chest pain, abdominal pain, orthopedic injuries, sepsis, and stroke. The ER is a certified stroke center with 21 beds/trauma bays. The RN will be responsible for managing common diagnoses, administering emergency medications and drips, and transferring patients as necessary. - Required Qualifications:
Certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS. Education and license requirements entail current licensure, with a minimum of 2 years of ER experience. Valid driver's license required. - Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts include every other holiday, with flexible scheduling created by ED leadership. - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a small ER department, handling less complex cases, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Additional Information:
Candidates must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation, with an open-book format on skills learned. Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas. Candidates outside a radius of 50 miles or who are employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any associated facilities are ineligible. RTO requests must be made upfront; additional requests are not permitted. The assignment starts on 12/07/2026 and ends on 03/08/2027.
