  • Position Description: Emergency Room Nurse supporting multiple ER locations within a 60-mile radius of Colorado Springs, CO, including facilities in Pueblo and Canon City. Responsible for delivering high-quality emergency care, managing trauma patients, stroke, STEMI, and other Critical Care cases.
  • Required Qualifications: Active ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, PALS (American Heart Association), and TNCC certifications; valid license to submit; minimum of 2 years of ER experience; successful candidates must have received their training within the last two years.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information:
    • Must be in state for the week of orientation, even if remote.
    • Travel assignments involve floating throughout the entire zone, including multiple facilities from Colorado Springs to Pueblo and Canon City.
    • No home base facility required.
    • Travelers are expected to float within Zone 1, which covers various ERs supporting trauma, STEMI, and stroke patients.
    • The unit handles an average of 40-168 patients daily, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on acuity.
    • The ER is equipped with Ventilators, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow oxygen, and other supportive technology.
    • The charting system used is EPIC, and a license to submit is required.
