Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

We are urgently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This position involves working night shifts, with the opportunity for a rotating schedule. The start date is as soon as possible, with compliance items able to be pending.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma emergency setting.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Perform phlebotomy and initiate IV therapy.
• Deliver continuous IV sedation and administer IV vasopressors as required.
• Conduct procedural sedation administration.
• Manage patients on CPAP/BiPAP and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Care for ventilated patients.
• Participate in patient triage and assessment process.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting is required.
• First time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS are required.
• Experience with EPIC and general emergency care procedures preferred.

Work Schedule:

This position requires a commitment to working 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with at least 8 weekend shifts per contract. Flexibility for holiday shifts and floating to other areas as needed is also required.

Patient Ratios:

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5.
