Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for Connecticut practice prior to start
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience caring for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in an acute care or emergency department setting
• Comfortable working in a 4:1 patient ratio environment
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, communication, and teamwork in a high-volume ED

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER environment
• Perform triage, assessment, continuous monitoring, and rapid intervention as needed
• Manage dysrhythmias, arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, central line care, and IV vasopressors
• Support safe and efficient patient flow in a busy emergency department
• Use Epic accurately for documentation, care coordination, and charting
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide timely, patient-centered treatment
• Maintain infection prevention practices and follow department protocols and safety standards
• Work assigned day shifts and every other weekend with professionalism and reliability
