Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in the healthcare setting. This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment, utilizing the nursing process to ensure patient safety, effective treatment, and quality outcomes. The role requires collaborating with the healthcare team, assessing patient needs, and administering appropriate treatments during night shifts.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Skills & Experience: Two (2) years current experience required in large emergency departments. Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment. Must pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test.
- Certification and Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
- Additional Responsibilities: Administer medications and treatments, coordinate patient care, supervise clinical staff, complete patient documentation, and meet protocol and standards of care.
- Additional Information: Candidates must successfully pass an onsite BCA test prior to start; re-test opportunity available if failed initially. Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.
