Join the dynamic team at a renowned healthcare facility in New York, NY, as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, providing critical care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to adults. WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking dedicated RNs to help deliver exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art Level I/Level II Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity levels.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and perform 12-lead EKG/ECG.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Start and maintain IVs, including continuous IV paralytics and sedation.
• Administer emergency medications and IV vasopressors.
• Monitor procedural sedation and manage patients with CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and hypothermia.
• Handle orthopedic trauma and manage pediatric conditions such as abdominal pain and respiratory infections.
• Address acute psychosis, drug overdose, psychiatric holds, suicidal patients, and violent behavior.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP, ventilators, chest tubes, and interpret ABGs.
• Provide care for gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
• Valid New York State RN License.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience with EPIC documentation system preferred.
• Strong skills in adult and pediatric emergency care, triage, and dysrhythmia management.
