Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

The Emergency Department RN is responsible and accountable for providing care to a group of patients within a designated time frame, utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other healthcare team members. This role requires the application of knowledge and skills that are essential for delivering patient care relevant to each individual's needs, across all stages of life.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret patient data to identify age-specific requirements.
Act as the primary RN in various settings including Triage, Main Emergency Department, and Fast Track.
Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure integrated care delivery.
Provide high standards of care and safety, particularly when assigned to different hospital areas as directed by leadership.
Uphold professionalism and adapt to support other departments while maintaining the continuity of care.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or a multi-state license.
BLS certification (AHA).
ACLS certification (AHA).
PALS certification (AHA).
TNCC certification.

Experience Requirements

Preferred experience in emergency and/or critical care.
At least one year of experience in medical-surgical care preferred.
