Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide care for patients in the Emergency Department, including both infants and adults, as well as ED holds (boarding patients).

Specific Work Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care to Emergency Department patients.
  • Assess and respond to patient needs in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.

Licenses/Certifications

Must possess a current and active Ohio RN license and the mandatory certifications (ACLS, PALS, BLS) before starting the role.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment within a large Level 1 Trauma Center.

Shift Information

  • Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
  • 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday.
  • Holiday coverage is required.

Minimum Years of Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience is required.

  • ACLS
  • BLS/BCLS
  • PALS
