Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. This position provides comprehensive nursing care across pediatric through geriatric populations, including systematic assessments, direct patient care, patient education, documentation, and emergency procedures. The role supports perioperative and Pre Admission Testing activities while promoting patient safety, confidentiality, and collaborative care.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; at least 1 year of experience in critical care, cardiac care, or the Emergency Department; pediatric experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, delivering age-appropriate nursing care, operating emergency equipment, maintaining accurate documentation, providing preoperative and postoperative education, evaluating Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders, supporting timely patient testing, following patient safety protocols, and individualizing care based on surgical procedures and anesthesia. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required for pediatric Emergency Department assignments. Availability to work some upcoming holidays is required.
