Job Summary:
Emergency Room Holding Area (ER HOLD) Registered Nurse (RN) Observation Unit, with a location-based role overseeing adult patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position involves rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and every other weekend, within a unit that manages adult patients requiring observation and hold. The nurse will need to be adaptable to varying unit needs and demonstrate strong assessment and patient education skills.

Job Details:

  • Position: ER HOLD RN Observation Unit
  • Shift Time: Rotating shifts (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) with minimum 36 hours per week
  • Certifications: AHA ACLS, PALS, and Active MA RN License required
  • Education and Experience: 2+ years of experience working in one location and as a traveler; 2 years in an emergency department setting with general nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education; minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
