Contract: 16 weeks
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Shift Length: 12.5 hours
Schedule: Nights
Weekend: Every other weekend

• Mission Hospital is an 815-bed hospital
• Level II Trauma Center
• Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Level III NICU
• Mission Children's Hospital
• High-volume ED with approximately 100,000 visits
• ED has 101 beds
• EMR: Cerner
• Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
• Typical patient ratio: 4:1, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds

Required Qualifications

• 2 years nursing experience
• At least 1 year ER/ED experience
• 2 years experience in a Level II Trauma Center
• Experience in a high-volume ED
• Teamwork mentality
• Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Must be flexible to work in all areas of the ED
• Previous HCA experience preferred

Required Certifications

• ACLS – required before submission
• BLS – required before submission
• PALS – required before submission
• TNCC – required before submission
• NIHSS – required before submission
• ENPC – required before submission
• CPI – required before Date of Hire

Unit Requirements

• Must be open to floating between all sections within the ED
• No floating outside the ED
• Every-other-weekend requirement
• Navy scrubs required
• Strong emphasis on teamwork and patient experience
• Patient communication and updates expected throughout the visit
