Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department averaging approximately 200 patients per day, serving a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Manage high-acuity cases including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, DKA, respiratory emergencies, and adult psychiatric presentations
  • Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV access, medication administration including drips, and procedural sedation
  • Administer blood products and cardiac medications; TNK administration experience preferred
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic electronic health record system
  • Operate unit equipment including Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and central/bedside telemetry monitoring

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI/MOAB
  • Recent Epic EMR experience required
  • Traveler Telemetry Competency exam must be completed and passed prior to start date
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with TNK (tenecteplase) administration in a stroke protocol setting
  • Background working in a high-volume, high-acuity ED environment with a significant geriatric and trauma population
  • Familiarity with procedural sedation protocols and cardiac medication management
  • Experience working alongside multidisciplinary support teams including pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and social work
