Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse in a rural hospital setting. This position involves working in a busy Emergency Department with a mix of 8 and 12-hour shifts, including days and evenings, with rotating schedules. The role provides opportunities for float to multiple facilities and involves responding to various acuity levels to deliver high-quality emergency care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts include days and evenings, with occasional night shifts.
  • Required Qualifications: WI or compact registered nurse (RN) license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications, Associate Degree or Certificate. No minimum years of experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to facilities in Merrill, Wausau, Langlade, and Stanley.
  • Additional Information: The emergency department is an 8-bed unit with potential flow into clinical exam rooms. All scrubs are acceptable as long as they are clean and work-appropriate, adhering to PPE guidelines. The contract offers 36 hours of unbillable low census hours, with potential for on-call shifts that count toward these hours. During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per organizational policy.
