Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position available at a healthcare facility located in Washington. This role involves providing acute care for patients experiencing medical emergencies such as stroke, trauma, and cardiac events. The position supports various hospital departments and requires flexibility to float within the region, ensuring comprehensive emergency care delivery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, every other week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS certifications; NIHSS, PALS, TNCC certifications; two years of ER nursing experience; Washington state nursing license or willingness to obtain and wait for licensing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic charting system; previous travel ER assignments; strong trauma and acute care background.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Unit notes specify limitations on full-time, part-time, or PRN status with certain healthcare facilities within the past year.
- Typical patient volume ranges from 125 to 140 per day, with teams supporting vents, telemetry, and lab draws.
- Support staff includes nurse aides, paramedics, ED technicians, security personnel, and tele/monitor techs.
- The ER handles emergency cases such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, and acute coronary syndrome, with complex patient needs.
- Orientation period consists of a one-day floor-specific training.
- Shifts are primarily managed at one primary location but require flexibility to float regionally across multiple hospitals as needed.
- The assignment begins on 10/05/2026 and concludes on 01/04/2027.
