Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work with Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Observation, Post cardiac cath (radial and femoral), appendectomy, colectomy, CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, abdominal pain, and COVID patients
• RN patient ratio of 1:5-6 (days/nights), acuity-based and may be lower for acute patients
• CNA patient ratio of 1:10-12 (days/nights)
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday rotation required - Summer: 2 of 3 holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th); Winter: 1 from each group (Thanksgiving Day or day after), (Christmas Eve or Christmas Day), (New Year's Eve or New Year's Day)
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated
• Time off requests up to one week may be approved
• Required skills: Reading/interpreting strips, cardiac drips (non-titrating), MSU skillset, wound care, and IV starts
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Charting system: EPIC
• Equipment: Pyxis and Alaris
• Scrub color: Navy
• No artificial fingernails or nail extenders permitted during direct patient care; natural nail tips must be kept less than ¼ inch long
• Free employee parking available
• May be required to float to other MSU/Telemetry floors, travelers floated first
