Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This role is vital in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work night shifts, providing support and care for diverse patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Unit Information

  • Trauma Level: Level 2
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4
  • Number of Critical Care Bays: 4
  • Equipment: Ultrasound, bladder scanner, neuro tele computer, Care Aware handheld devices
  • EHR Systems: Omnicell, EPIC, SBAR

Position Details

  • Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
  • Weekend Requirements: No guaranteed weekends off; scheduling is managed for fairness.
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Float Requirements: Travelers may be required to float to ED Holding.

Qualifications

  • Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS/BLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC (CPI preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Non-Trauma Emergency Department setting
  • Must Have Skills:
    • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
    • Experience with ventilated patients
    • Triage skills
  • Patient Population: Diverse, including pediatrics to geriatrics, with a focus on economically challenged areas.

This position requires one to be adaptable and ready to handle a variety of patient cases, including critical situations. The facility offers teleneurology services in cooperation with a leading hospital, ensuring efficient stroke care.
