Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and have a passion for providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. This position is essential in delivering emergency care to patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform triage and assess patient needs promptly and effectively.
• Provide comprehensive patient care, including the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient status, document care accurately, and communicate critical information to physicians and staff.
• Assist in emergency procedures as required and maintain a high standard of care.

Position Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Flex Position)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend required
• Call Requirements: None

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an emergency department setting.
• Patient Ratios: 1:2.5
• Patient Population: Care for patients of all ages
• Required Skills: Exceptional triage and clinical assessment skills.

Unit Information

The Emergency Department operates as a critical access service with a focus on quality patient care. As one of only two RNs in the department, the position demands a high level of expertise in managing a diverse patient population with varying illnesses and injuries.
