Emergency Room RN position in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This travel assignment involves providing patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department, requiring adaptability to floating shifts and call requirements. The role fosters critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in a fast-paced environment to ensure safe, effective care delivery.

Job Details:

  • Location: Carlsbad, NM
  • Shift: Nights, 6:30 pm 7:00 am; Float: Yes, floating required.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of ER experience, license in good standing, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, & ENPC certifications required. NRP preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
  • Additional Information:
    • Start date: 09/07/2026
    • Candidate must be registered with the state of New Mexico for fingerprint clearance.
    • Call requirement: 2 hours prior to shift start, at a minimum.
    • Patient ratio: 4:1
    • Block scheduling and 48-hour guarantee are not approved.
    • RTO blackout periods: 1 summer and 1 winter, dependent on departmental needs.
    • Max RTO: 1 per schedule; 6-week scheduling.
    • Scrub color: None (full uniform).
    • EMR system: MedHost (EDIS).
    • The RN is responsible for thorough assessments, medication administration, safety standards, and supervision.
