Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position available in a Level I Trauma Center. This role involves providing comprehensive emergency care in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, managing patients with a variety of urgent medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in a trauma setting and hold current certifications in emergency nursing.

  • Required Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC; minimum 2 years of experience in a trauma or emergency department; ER specialty; available for shifts starting 10/26/2026, ending 01/25/2027; scheduled evenings, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional job details: The ER unit features 56 beds, with hall beds increasing capacity to 60-70 beds. There is a separate trauma triage area with 5 beds, and inpatient holding beds. The department manages approximately 170-200 patients daily with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3, with low acuity cases sometimes managed at 1:4.
  • Responsibilities include managing triage, ER holds, psych/seclusion rooms, and utilizing Epic electronic medical records. RTs handle ventilator management and ABGs, while ED Techs and nurses perform lab draws and EKGs.
  • Additional considerations: No specified float requirement; no call or standby shifts; no RTO requests during the first full week of assignment; full unit orientation provided.
