• Setting: High-volume Emergency Department with trauma care, behavioral health support, and all-ages patient care
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; schedule blocks include consecutive shifts

Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact state licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• Preferred: 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Preferred: recent critical care experience
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, NRP
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation is required for this role
• Strong ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Comfort caring for patients of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, triage patients, and prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care, stabilize patients, and support timely interventions
• Care for patients presenting with trauma, medical emergencies, psychiatric needs, and other urgent conditions
• Support resuscitation, crisis intervention, and emergency management efforts as needed
• Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and effective communication across departments
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and calm decision-making during high-stress situations
