Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• NIHSS certification required
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Strong clinical judgment in a high-intensity, fast-paced emergency care environment
• Ability to care for patients across the lifespan, including pediatric and adult populations

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, plan, and evaluate nursing care in the Emergency Department
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with professional nursing standards
• Deliver care to patients with medical illness, trauma, mental health concerns, and life-threatening conditions
• Support triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, EMS, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive outcomes in a high-acuity ED setting
• Communicate clearly with patients and families while maintaining compassion and professionalism
• Respond quickly to changing patient needs and prioritize care effectively
• Maintain a calm, adaptable approach during emergencies and periods of high demand
