Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in the emergency department.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Support patients and their families during critical situations.

Schedule Requirements

• This position requires working weekends, with scheduled days varying based on staffing needs.
• Night shifts are required, with a typical schedule of 4x12 hours.
• Must work at least 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Level 1 trauma center or 2 years in a Level 2 center, including pediatric experience.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia (may submit with license pending).
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (may submit with TNCC pending, but must have certification before starting).
• Ability to manage time off requests effectively; up to 40 hours can be approved.
