Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week (12-hour Nights, 1900–0730). 48-hour guarantees apply only to travelers with both Level 1 and prior travel experience.
- Contract Length: Minimum 10 weeks (Target Start Date: October 12, 2026).
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, or NYE & NYD. No Christmas RTO allowed.
- Distance & Limits: No locals within a 100-mile radius. Former permanent staff require a 12-month separation, and travelers reaching 1 year or 4 consecutive assignments require a 6-month system break.
Key Facility Policies & Floating Rules
- Acuity & Patient Ratios: 60%–80% of the ED consists of admitted patients/ED holding. Ratios are 1:5. Charting via Cerner (black scrubs; not provided).
- Floating Expectations: Floating to Adult Progressive Care Units (PCUs) is expected based on staffing needs; optional floating to Peds ED, ED Holding, and Trauma DOE.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required (1.5 years considered); Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred. Travel experience preferred, but 2+ years of Level 1 experience will be considered for first-time travelers.
- Licensure: New Mexico (NM) nursing license can pend at submission.
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, PALS, and TNCC required before submission. NIHSS can pend until compliance doc due date. No RQI certifications accepted.
