Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse (ER RN) Location: Portland. This position involves floating between units at a short-term acute care facility with a Level IV trauma designation, providing comprehensive emergency care to diverse patient populations. The role requires adaptability, clinical proficiency, and compliance with all certification requirements.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) license with valid state licensure; compact license accepted.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of ER experience required; previous experience with charge duties, trauma, or emergency department protocols preferred.
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Role involves floating across units as needed, with the possibility of working in rural community hospitals outside of a major metropolitan area. Candidates must have reliable transportation, and additional duties include managing patient care in a small emergency department that serves all age groups, including trauma stabilization and transfer. Candidates should be prepared to work holidays as contracted.
