Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Martinsville, VA This position involves providing exceptional nursing care in the emergency department of a full-service, acute-care hospital. The role is open to qualified candidates and offers flexible scheduling with guaranteed hours, contributing to a dynamic environment serving patients of all ages.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH, PALS or ENPC; 2 years of experience in emergency nursing; no minimum experience required; located in Virginia or eligible to practice there.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common diagnoses such as chest pain, congestive heart failure, COPD, and psych conditions; professional, positive, compassionate, and team-oriented personality fit.
  • Additional Information: The emergency department has 34 beds with patient ratios of 1:5. The unit serves patients across all age groups, and candidates must demonstrate a professional and compassionate approach to care. The assignment runs from 10/06/2026 through 01/23/2027, with orientation available bi-weekly on Tuesdays.
