Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in the healthcare facility. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The ER Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for emergency patients, providing supportive and restorative therapy and treatment, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, ASN (associate degree in nursing) from an accredited school, 1 year of experience, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional responsibilities include health data assessment, health teaching, therapy and treatment, patient referral, documentation, and possibly float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
  • May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
