Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position located in Cypress, TX. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy emergency environment, working with a team to deliver efficient and compassionate services. The position requires adaptability to a night shift schedule and adherence to unit protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); relevant education and training; candidates must have 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience; location requirement: Cypress, TX; minimum 0 years of experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with experience in tPA administration, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, orthopedics care, strong interpersonal skills fitting a positive culture environment
- Additional Information: The unit consists of 19 beds with 26 full-time staff members, including charge nurses, triage nurses, bedside RNs, health unit coordinators, and technicians. The team operates with patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1. Typical procedures performed include tPA administration, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care. Staff are expected to rotate weekends; there is no on-call requirement.
