Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse located in Derry, New Hampshire. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a 19-bed emergency department with a focus on patient safety, procedures, and communication. The ER Nurse will be responsible for a range of clinical duties, including procedures such as central line placement, chest tube insertion, and moderate sedation, ensuring prompt and efficient patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and CPI certifications completed within 30 days; 2-3 years of emergency department experience; must have performed procedures such as moderate sedation, central line placement, chest tube insertion, IV insertion, lab draw, POC testing, EKGs, and respiratory treatments; experience with GE monitors, Lucas 3, Glidescope, EV 1000, Level 1 infuser; standard light blue scrubsDress code and policies followed tightly.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certification in stroke care, cath lab, or trauma Level 3; additional experience with high-acuity emergency procedures.
  • Additional Information: The role requires maintaining patient experience standards such as effective communication, keeping patients and families informed, and ensuring patients feel cared for. Floating to other areas is not typically required. The department uses Meditech documentation system and unit-specific staff include ED Technicians, Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMT), and Paramedics.
