Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: 36 hours per week (12-hour Nights, 1900–0700). Guaranteed 72 hours bi-weekly (1 cancellation allowed per 2-week period). No block schedule requests.
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Target Start Date: October 5, 2026 (Bi-weekly orientation; 12 hours non-billable orientation; GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week).
- Scheduling & RTO: Every other weekend and holiday required. No Requested Time Off (RTO) requests over 7 days allowed.
Key Facility Policies & Floating Rules
- Floating & Unit Scope: Fast-paced inner-city ED (~100 patients/day; high volume of peds and asthma; 12 beds, 1:6 patient ratios). Required to float to like departments, including floating to ICU inpatient units or potentially being tasked as an aide if needed.
- Mandatory Training: Mandatory Meditech EHR module training must be completed during compliance prior to start date.
- Dress Code & Vaccination: Royal blue scrubs. COVID vaccination required (or approved medical/religious declination prior to start).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. No first-time travelers (at least one completed travel contract required).
- Licensure: Active Illinois (IL) RN license or compact state license.
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certification, and CPI required (CPI can be taken via facility-offered course within 30 days of start as unbillable).
