Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position available in Roanoke, VA. This role involves providing critical care to high and low acuity Emergency Department patients in a fast-paced environment. The ER nurse will support patient treatment and comfort, adhering to unit policies and clinical standards.
Job Details
- Position Description: Emergency Room (ER) nurse responsible for caring for critically ill and overall emergency Department patients, including administering medications, conducting labs, and supporting patient stabilization.
- Unit Information: 8-bed Emergency Department with a team of 6 staff members daily, including 2 Registered Nurses (RN), 1 Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and 2 mid-level RNs.
- Certifications and Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course). Must have experience caring for critically ill patients.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The role includes working four weekend shifts per schedule.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates should be available to start on 11/09/2026, with the assignment ending on 02/08/2027.
