Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting in the emergency department.
  • Provide immediate and appropriate care to patients with various medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical staff.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans.

Work Schedule

This position requires evening and night shifts. Flexibility will be essential, as weekend and holiday shifts will be part of the schedule. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.

Qualifications

  • Current Virginia nursing license (can submit with license pending).
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required; TNCC certification accepted pending completion before start date.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Level 1 trauma center or 2 years in a Level 2 trauma center, including pediatric experience.

Time Off Policy

Time off is limited, with a maximum of 40 hours approved. Please note that time off around Labor Day will not be approved. Holidays will be scheduled on an alternating basis.
