Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room with the following details:

  • Ratios:
    • Non-Critical: 3:1 (4:1 during callouts)
    • Critical Patients: 2:1
    • Medical Boarders in ED: 5:1
  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
  • Call Requirement: No call
  • Float Requirement: No float
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
  • Orientation: 36 hours
  • Scrubs: Navy Blue

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adult patients in the Emergency Room, including but not limited to:

  • IV starts and triage
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Conscious sedation procedures
  • Assessment and management of patients experiencing STEMI, stroke, and level 2 trauma

Qualifications

Required Skills and Certifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Certification in TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, and BLS is required
  • Skills in IV start, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • ENPC certification
  • Experience in trauma care

Additional Notes

Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting. This position entails working a contract of 20+ weeks, extending to February 27, 2027, to accommodate the holiday season.
