Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ERN) located at the organizations emergency department, this role involves providing critical care within a busy 56-bed acute care hospital. Responsible for delivering high-quality emergency care to diverse patient populations, the ER RN will operate in a Level I trauma center environment with a focus on adult and pediatric emergencies.

Job Details

  • Position/Specialty: Emergency Room RN in the Emergency Room (ER) specialty
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license or in the application process with an ETA; include certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); a minimum of 2 years of ER experience; general emergency department experience in adult and pediatric care; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; IV therapy and phlebotomy skills including blood product administration; skills in emergency medication administration including IV vasopressors and procedural sedation; experience with neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, and trauma cases; preferred community hospital and Level I or Level II trauma experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner charting system.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have active Illinois licensure, complete all compliance modules prior to start, and be prepared for a virtual orientation on the first day. Must be able to work every other weekend and up to 5 non-holiday RTO days.
