Job Overview

This position involves working in a busy Emergency Room environment, providing care to a diverse patient population in a regional referral and tertiary care center. The role includes triage, IV starts, and telemetry responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room.
Perform triage assessments and start IV therapy as needed.
Monitor telemetry and respond to patient needs effectively.
Participate in daily shift huddles for seamless communication.
Float between the Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health as required based on staffing needs.

Shift Information

Position is a 12-hour NIGHT shift from 18:45 to 07:15.

Scheduling Requirements

Weekend commitment: A minimum of 4 weekend days in a 6-week period, with possible additional weekends.
Flexible scheduling with 36 to 48 hours available weekly.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Must possess the following certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, and MOAB.
Must complete EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.

Unit Information

Staffing Ratios: 1:3-5.
Unit handles approximately 250 visits per day and has 101 beds.
Orientation for the unit is 24 hours.

Uniform Requirements

Navy and white scrubs are required for this position.

Additional Information

No block scheduling is available.
RTO after booking is not permitted, and any call-offs may lead to cancellations or DNR (Do Not Renew).
