Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Indiana
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience; 1-2 years preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• De-escalation training required
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to perform well in a high-acuity, fast-moving emergency room setting
• Ability to work nights, weekends as scheduled, and adapt to changing patient needs
• Travel candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Required documents must be submitted with the application, including license and certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients across a wide range of acuity levels
• Perform thorough assessments, prioritize care, and respond quickly to changing clinical conditions
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions according to established emergency nursing protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to support safe, efficient patient flow
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
• Support a calm, professional environment through strong de-escalation and patient-centered communication skills
• Work every third weekend and contribute to dependable coverage in a busy ER setting
• Float to Starke ED as needed
