Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse, located in Pennsylvania, provides professional nursing care in accordance with the standards set by the Emergency Nurses Association. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care across all age groups, from neonate to geriatric. This position may include scheduled on-call duties based on community event-driven patient volumes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current Pennsylvania RN licensure; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications, all renewals every two years; Valid National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; Experience requirements: 0 years.
- Additional Responsibilities: Triage patients entering the emergency care system, develop and implement individualized care plans, ensure availability of supplies and equipment, provide discharge planning, manage emergencies per standards, recognize changes in patient status, and educate patients and families.
- Additional Information: Position requires effective communication skills, professional demeanor, high emotional tolerance, and the ability to support a team. Scheduled on-call assignments may be necessary. Preference may be given to candidates with EPIC computer charting experience.
