Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. This role requires a passionate and skilled professional to provide high-quality emergency care to adult and pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide effective emergency nursing care to patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Assess patient conditions, develop nursing diagnoses, and implement care plans in alignment with evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize advanced clinical skills to monitor patient progress and respond to changing conditions.
• Adhere to all regulatory and organizational standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Shift and Schedule

This position is for night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The schedule requires availability to work every other weekend. Floating to different facilities within the region may be necessary based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department, with a focus on both adult and pediatric care.
• Experience in managing patients with CVA (cerebrovascular accident) and other acute medical conditions.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.
• BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required; CPI and NRP certifications preferred.
• Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
